Mobility Program

GET A REBATE OF UP TO $500 TOWARD THE COST OF INSTALLING ADAPTIVE EQUIPMENT IN YOUR NEW HYUNDAI.

THE PROGRAM

The Hyundai Mobility Program assists disabled individuals in outfitting their new Hyundai vehicle with the necessary adaptive equipment required to drive the vehicle. The assistance is in the form of a monetary rebate of up to $500.

WHO QUALIFIES

Individuals with an existing permanent disability who purchase a new Hyundai vehicle from an authorized Canadian Hyundai dealer, and who require an adaptive aid to drive a vehicle, are eligible for reimbursement under this program. In order to qualify, the customer must provide original documentation from a medical professional, on his or her letterhead, who is licensed to practice medicine in the customer's province of residence, clearly detailing the customer's existing permanent disability.

Hyundai has the right to determine, in its sole and absolute discretion, whether the modifications made qualify for reimbursement under the Hyundai Mobility Program.

In addition, Hyundai has the right to determine, in its sole and absolute discretion, whether the modifications that have been made impact any of the safety systems of the vehicle. Such modifications are not eligible for reimbursement under the Hyundai Mobility Program and, further, may not be covered under the Hyundai new vehicle warranty.

HOW THE HYUNDAI MOBILITY PROGRAM WORKS

Customers may request a Hyundai Mobility Program Claim Form from the Sales Person at the time of delivery of their new Hyundai vehicle. Installation of the equipment must be completed within four (4) months of delivery of the vehicle to the customer. The customer has to mail the following information to Hyundai Auto Canada within thirty (30) days of complete installation of the equipment.

1. A copy of the Hyundai New Vehicle Sales Contract.

2. Original documentation from a medical professional, on his or her letterhead, who is licensed to practice medicine in the customer's province of residence, clearly detailing the customer's disability.

3. Proof of vehicle modifications in the form of a payment receipt or work order from the equipment installer clearly stating the customer's full name, the Hyundai Vehicle Identification Number ("VIN"), the year, make and model of the vehicle, and that the modifications were completed within four (4) months of delivery of the vehicle to the customer.

4. The completed Hyundai Mobility Program Claim Form.

All applicants should mail the required information to:
Hyundai Auto Canada Corp.

Once approved, Hyundai Auto Canada will mail a cheque for the cost of the modifications, up to a maximum allowance of $500, directly to the customer at the address stated on the Hyundai Mobility Program Claim Form. Only one reimbursement per customer per vehicle.

Damage caused by unapproved or improperly installed adaptive equipment, alert hearing devices, and accessories will not be covered under the Hyundai new vehicle warranty. Owners should refer to the Hyundai Service Passport for additional warranty information.

Hyundai Auto Canada assumes no liability or responsibility for death, injury or expenses that may result from the installation of any adaptive equipment, alert hearing devices, and non-genuine Hyundai accessories.
